The Linda Mwananchi Movement has proposed a new national leadership structure with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna at the helm as the outfit steps up efforts to establish its political machinery ahead of the 2027 General Election. Under the proposed arrangement, former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau and former Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo have been nominated as Deputy Party Leaders. One additional deputy party leader position has been reserved for a representative from the Coast region.
Suba South MP Caroli Omondi has been proposed for the position of Secretary General, with Pauline Njoroge nominated as his deputy. Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has been proposed as the party’s national chairperson, deputised by former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo. A second deputy chairperson position has also been reserved for a representative from the Coast region.
The proposed national treasury will be headed by Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka or Abby Zuena Gikonyo, whose appointment is yet to be settled. Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has been nominated to head the movement’s presidential campaign, while Fredah Onduso has been proposed as the Youth League President.
The proposed leadership team is part of the movement’s efforts to establish a national presence and put in place structures as it prepares for the 2027 General Election.
