IG Douglas Kanja welcomed the UK’s High Commissioner, Matt Baugh, for discussions on security, training, and transnational crime.
The High Commissioner and the Inspector General met on Monday to examine cooperation opportunities between the UK government and Kenya’s National Police Service.
Their talks centered on expanding existing collaborations and seeking new ways to address emerging security threats shared by both nations.
Baugh noted that numerous initiatives have helped to build a solid relationship between Kenya and the United Kingdom over the years.
He added that this partnership has delivered significant gains, especially in security, governance, and institutional development.
Baugh expressed enthusiasm for future exchanges that would further strengthen the historic ties between the two countries.
Kanja praised the warm, productive relationship, emphasizing its role in supporting the National Police Service and its capacity to counter complex threats.
