A massive fire erupted in a factory inside Wall Street Business Park on Old Mombasa Road in Nairobi, disrupting operations in the industrial area.
Video footage showed towering flames engulfing the building while dense black smoke rose into the sky, visible from several metres away.
The blaze drew large crowds, as motorists and residents stopped to observe while emergency responders rushed to the scene.
Firefighters worked to stop the flames from spreading to surrounding warehouses.
The cause of the fire had not yet been determined, and authorities had not confirmed any casualties or injuries.
Fire crews battled the flames for several hours into the afternoon, with access to the park partially closed to enable uninterrupted firefighting.
Wall Street Business Park is one of Nairobi’s busiest industrial and warehousing complexes, providing services in logistics, distribution, and manufacturing.
The complex hosts multiple warehouses for storage, freight handling, and dispatch, supporting importers, distributors, wholesalers, and small businesses.
The incident follows a spike in fires across Nairobi. Five days earlier, a severe fire broke out at Gikomba Market around 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 21.
The fire through the crowded market claimed at least two lives and injured several others.
It destroyed extensive portions of the market, including the timber yard, fish stalls, and second‑hand clothing sections, triggering an emergency response.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the Wall Street Business Park fire once the blaze is contained and the damaged area assessed.
