Several United Democratic Alliance leaders in Kitui County have encouraged Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to align with President William Ruto’s administration, asserting that he would be granted proper respect within the ruling coalition. This appeal comes in the wake of a recent event in Lavington during the inauguration of the Linda Mwananchi Movement offices, where Kalonzo faced heckling while addressing the crowd. During a funeral service in Nuu, Mwingi Central, the leaders, spearheaded by Nominated Senator Beth Syengo, claimed that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was behind the humiliation faced by the Wiper chief. They maintained that Kalonzo, recognized as an experienced leader, merits dignity and ought to partner with President Ruto to advance the nation. Additionally, the politicians cautioned that maintaining ties with Gachagua might lead to political mistreatment for Kalonzo, prompting them to advise a shift in his political strategy.
