Electrician dies in electrocution during internet installation in Nairobi

A fatal accident occurred in Kamae area, Kasarani, Nairobi, when a 25-year-old electrician lost his life to electrocution while working with his team to install internet cables at a residence. According to police reports, Brian Kipngetich was hired to provide internet services to a home in the locality when he came into contact with an energized electrical wire. His colleagues reported hearing his cries before finding him unconscious at the location with visible burn injuries. Emergency services transported him to a medical facility where he was declared dead upon arrival. Authorities have transferred the remains to the mortuary for autopsy and further formalities, police confirmed. Separately, two individuals lost their lives in distinct banditry attacks reported in Isiolo and Meru regions. The initial incident took place on April 16 in Kambi Samaki area, Garbatula, Isiolo County. Police revealed that Jarso Guyo, 43, was fatally shot while accompanying fellow herders to retrieve sheep that had wandered off from their pasture. The herders were using motorcycles when two assailants launched an attack on them. A second rider also succumbed to gunshot wounds during the assault. Police authorities have intensified efforts to apprehend the criminal gang responsible for the incident. In Ithritii Hills, Mutuati, Meru County, authorities discovered a deceased man after a banditry confrontation led to an exchange of gunfire, police stated. John Loyian’s body was located in dense vegetation following the armed confrontation between security personnel and criminals who were attempting to recover stolen livestock. The remains have been taken to the mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination and additional legal procedures.
