Easy Coach, a major transportation operator in Kenya, has introduced revised fare schedules effective Monday, April 20, 2026, impacting travel services on its primary routes nationwide.

The declaration issued on Saturday, April 18, 2026, displays updated pricing across significant routes following the latest fuel cost modifications.

According to the revised fare system, travelers journeying from Nairobi to rural areas including Kisumu, Maseno, Mbale in Vihiga, Siaya, Butere and the Ndori-Bondo-Usenge route will now incur a cost of Ksh1,900.

This represents an increase of Ksh150 from previous charges.

In similar fashion, passengers heading to Ugunja in Siaya, Bumala and Busia will face a moderately increased fare of Ksh1,950, up from the previous Ksh1,800.

At the same time, individuals traveling to Western locations such as Kakamega, Mumias, Webuye and Kimilili will be assessed Ksh1,800, with the fare to Kitale now set at Ksh1,850.

For journeys in the Southern Nyanza region, rates are relatively reduced, with travelers to Oyugis, Kisii, Kendubay and Homabay paying Ksh1,550.

Concurrently, those bound for Rodikopany, Ndhiwa, Sori, Mbita, Migori, Sirare, Kehancha and Rongo, also situated in Southern Nyanza, will be charged Ksh1,600.

The company has adjusted the fare from Nairobi to Eldoret to Ksh1,700, representing an increase of Ksh100 for passengers.

These adjustments follow the directive from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), which elevated the cost of super petrol and diesel by Ksh17 and Ksh30, respectively.

This recent modification comes merely three days after Ena Coach also disclosed its own fare modifications, citing abrupt fuel price escalations as the reason.

According to Ena Coach’s new pricing structure, travelers from Nairobi to rural areas via Narok will pay Ksh1,700, whereas passengers utilizing the Nakuru route will incur Ksh1,800.

The Nairobi-Mombasa route has been established at Ksh2,000, while passage between Kisii and Kisumu will cost Ksh700.

Rates between Mombasa and rural locations, in both directions, have been set at Ksh3,000, with the company indicating that these modifications are effective immediately.

Through a declaration on April 15, 2026, the company mentioned it had performed an operational assessment prior to implementing the modifications, reemphasizing that the decision was essential to preserve service quality.
