Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has enhanced grassroots mobilization efforts by establishing a new party office in Oloitoktok Town, Kajiado County.

This initiative forms part of a wider strategy to extend the party’s nationwide presence in preparation for the upcoming general elections.

Gachagua stated that setting up the office in Kajiado South demonstrates the party’s dedication to direct engagement with local citizens.

“Our Party, the people’s party – Democracy for the Citizens Party, maintains its optimistic philosophy. Today we connected with the people of Oloitoktok Town in Kajiado South and officially opened the party office,” he said.

He was joined by DCP Deputy Leader Cleophas Malala, Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thangwa, and several other allies.

The DCP leader emphasized that the party aims to function as a platform that prioritizes the voices and aspirations of ordinary Kenyans.

He encouraged residents of Oloitoktok and the broader Kajiado region to support the party, characterizing it as a political entity responsive to public needs.

“To the people of Oloitoktok, here is your preferred party – one that listens to you and carries your aspirations,” he added.

“God Bless Kajiado County,” he concluded.

The launch event drew local supporters and party officials, indicating heightened political activity in the region as parties initiate early mobilization for the 2027 general elections.

The event occurred a day after Gachagua participated in a homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony in Kitengela, Kajiado County, celebrating David Persaina’s appointment as the inaugural National Chairperson of the party.

In his address, the ex-Deputy President congratulated Persaina and expressed confidence in his leadership capacity to guide the party according to its founding principles.

“As we celebrate you, we anticipate your ability to provide leadership that leaves a lasting impact on the party, whose philosophy is based on the principle of the common mwananchi,” he said.

He mentioned that Persaina’s new role entails substantial national responsibility, with the nation expecting decisions that reflect the will and expectations of the people.
