Waithaka stated that the donation would substantially enhance ICT training programs at the hub and assist in providing young people with essential technological skills required in today’s rapidly changing digital landscape.
These computers will significantly contribute to improving digital literacy and broadening global opportunities for our youth. We are dedicated to ensuring that young people in Kiambu acquire relevant skills enabling them to compete effectively both locally and internationally.
The MP emphasized that investment in digital skills development serves as a fundamental approach to addressing youth unemployment, highlighting that ICT hubs have evolved as vital centers for innovation, entrepreneurship and digital employment opportunities.
Ambassador Serbu commended the initiatives to empower Kenyan youth through technology and education, noting that partnerships between Kenya and Romania can generate valuable opportunities for young people via skill development and educational exchange programs.
She urged the graduates to utilize the available opportunities and continue expanding their ICT knowledge to prepare for emerging career paths in the digital sector.
