Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) detectives, in collaboration with the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU), have apprehended a suspected drug trafficker during a raid at his residence where cannabis sativa was seized.
The 29-year-old Nigerian national, Christian Ikechukwu Uzochukwu, was apprehended based on intelligence that identified him as a significant figure in a narcotics trafficking network operating in the city.
Guided by this intelligence, authorities conducted an operation at the suspect’s home in Kabarnet along Ngong Road.
A comprehensive search of the property resulted in the discovery of 33 sachets of cannabis sativa, neatly prepared for distribution. Officers also recovered two passports in the suspect’s name along with additional evidence.
Initial investigations indicate that the suspect is residing in the country without legal authorization.
The individual was taken to Muthaiga Police Station for further processing before formal charges. The confiscated narcotics have been secured as evidence in the ongoing case.
