Police in Kisumu East Sub‑County have uncovered a charred shell of a motor vehicle, believed to have been part of a broader vehicle‑theft syndicate operating in the lakeside city. The discovery came after alert residents in Kamenya Village, West Kajulu, tipped off officers from Mamboleo Police Post. Working alongside detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and crime scene investigators, the team found the completely burnt-out shell hidden in a thicket. The incident brings to 17 the number of stolen vehicles recovered in Kisumu over just five days. Kenya News
