Kiambu County Security Team announces 30-days multi-agency Rapid Results Initiative

A high-level security delegation from Juja Sub-County paid a courtesy visit to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) on Thursday, September 25, 2025, marking a renewed commitment to bolster safety on and around campus. Led by Deputy County Commissioner Daniel Ndege, the delegation included representatives from the National Police Service (NPS), National Intelligence Service (NIS), and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Juja. Their meeting with JKUAT Vice Chancellor Prof. Victoria Wambui Ngumi signalled a collaborative push to keep the university environment secure for students, staff, and local residents. JKUAT
During the talks, both parties underscored the importance of clear communication and shared responsibility in tackling security threats. Prof. Ngumi highlighted existing successes, such as the installation of street lighting and the rigorous vetting of landlords to ensure student accommodation is safe. The collaboration appears to be bearing fruit. The Vice Chancellor praised the partnership for helping create a more secure environment in Juja, and law enforcement pledged to deepen cooperation, especially in responding more swiftly to emerging threats. Looking ahead, both JKUAT and the Juja security agencies plan to sustain and strengthen their joint efforts.
