National Police Service (NPS) officers, working with National Government Administration Officers (NGAO), recovered thousands of litres of illegal alcohol during an operation in the Soweto area of Kahawa West, Kasarani Sub-County, Nairobi.
A National Police Service statement said the operation focused on the production and distribution of illicit brews in the area.
During the raid, officers confiscated 2,400 litres of Kangara and 120 litres of Chang’aa, along with equipment used to manufacture the alcohol.
The crackdown is part of continuing efforts by security agencies to reduce the spread of harmful substances and break up illegal brewing networks.
The service said it remains committed to fighting the production, distribution and consumption of illicit brews and other harmful substances that endanger public health, safety and security.
Authorities described the operation as part of broader measures to eliminate the manufacture and sale of illegal alcohol, which has been linked to health risks and insecurity across different parts of the country.
