Anti-Narcotics Unit detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended four individuals, comprising two foreign nationals, after conducting an intelligence-driven operation at a residence in Denluck Apartment, Nairobi.
The raid, executed at approximately 7:30pm, resulted in the detention of Gabriel Moses Mathai, 26, Gerald Otieno, 28, Danilo Pejevic, a 25-year-old Serbian citizen, and Lukundo Samuel Sikombe, a 25-year-old Tanzanian woman.
During the search, authorities discovered substantial amounts of suspected cannabis sativa, characterized as greenish dried plant matter, hidden inside a blue basin and a black plastic bag.
Additional items confiscated from the location included materials suspected of being utilized for narcotics processing, packaging, and distribution, such as a weighing scale, scissors, three lighters, Rizla papers, a grinder, rolling papers, and multiple small packaging envelopes.
The four detainees were taken to Muthaiga Police Station, where they remain in custody as investigations continue and await formal charges.
All seized items were transported to DCI Headquarters for secure storage, documentation, and laboratory testing.
The DCI reiterated its dedication to combating drug trafficking and encouraged citizens to provide any information that could support current efforts to address this criminal activity.
