DCI publishes suspect photos in fuel protest crimes investigation

by KenyaPolls

The Criminal Investigations Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying persons suspected of committing violent robberies, theft, property destruction, arson, and looting during the recent demonstrations against fuel price hikes across the nation.

According to an official communication, the DCI has distributed photographs of these wanted individuals, who were observed engaging in activities that resulted in significant damage to commercial establishments and public property, and also posed threats to the wellbeing of citizens.

The DCI has urged citizens who can identify any of the pictured individuals to contact their local law enforcement agencies or submit anonymous details via the #FichuaKwaDCI reporting system.

The National Police Service emphasized that although all Kenyans possess the constitutional right to peacefully assemble, demonstrate, picket, and petition, any criminal misconduct disguised as protest will face comprehensive investigation, and all perpetrators will be prosecuted.
