Chief Justice Emeritus and United Green Movement (UGM) presidential flagbearer David Maraga is set to begin a three-day tour of Turkana County on Friday.
A statement from his secretariat said that this will be Maraga’s political outreach campaign that will culminate in the launch of the inaugural UKOMBOZI Rally in Lodwar.
Maraga’s visit to Turkana will run from Friday, May 22, and conclude on Sunday, May 24, with a public rally at Moi Gardens.
The visit comes at a time of growing public concern across the country over rising fuel prices, the high cost of living, youth unemployment, corruption, and increasing calls for equal opportunity and development.
During the tour, Maraga is expected to hold engagements with community elders as well as opinion, faith and youth leaders in Turkana.
“The tour will culminate in the inaugural UKOMBOZI Rally on Sunday, 24th May 2026, at Moi Gardens, Lodwar,” the statement said.
The campaign team said the initiative is intended to create a platform for public engagement around governance and national issues.
“The David Maraga Presidential Campaign invites all residents of Turkana County and neighboring areas to attend and join the national conversation on accountability, equal opportunity, and state capture of key governance institutions,” the statement added.
