Millicent Omanga Jokes About Board Position Revocation

by KenyaPolls

Former legislator for Nairobi Millicent Omanga reacted with amusement when a public notification indicated her termination as a board member at Kenya Shipyards Limited.
Through an amusing social media update, Omanga expressed astonishment at the situation, mentioning she had no idea she was still part of the board.
“I guess I’ve just been formally dismissed from a position I wasn’t aware I was still holding,” she stated.
She continued, “Remarkable coordination… decisions being made about positions that merely exist on paper lol,” concluding with laughing emojis and her well-known political tags #MamaNairobi and #WantamIsReal.
Gazette No. 6391, released under the State Corporations Act, confirmed that Defense Cabinet Secretary Roselinda Soipan Tuya had terminated Millicent Nyaboke Omanga’s membership on the Board of Directors of Kenya Shipyards Limited, effective April 30, 2026.
Omanga joined the board in 2025, following her involvement in national politics and her vocal backing of President William Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza government.
Recognized for her candid political approach and significant social media following, Omanga had previously served as a nominated senator prior to becoming Nairobi Woman Representative candidate and one of the most prominent political figures in the city.
In recent times, she has continued engaging in community organizing and public discourse, frequently contributing to national political discussions and establishing herself as a major Nairobi political player leading up to the 2027 elections.
In spite of the termination, her reaction indicated minimal worry, opting for humor rather than objection.
