Media personality Lynn Ngugi has rejected a proposal by Bravin Yuri to vie for the Nairobi Women Representative seat, stating she is not prepared to enter politics at this time.
Addressing the suggestion, Lynn expressed appreciation for the confidence in her leadership abilities but maintained that she does not feel compelled to join the political arena presently. “I don’t feel called to join politics at the moment,” Lynn Ngugi stated.
She described politics as demanding and emotionally taxing, emphasizing that her current passion lies in her work as a media personality and storyteller. Through her platform, she has established a reputation for highlighting real-life experiences and giving a voice to marginalized communities.
Lynn noted that her current work enables her to create meaningful impact without the pressures associated with political office. She added that she prefers to remain focused to connect with a broad audience across the nation.
However, the influential content creator did not dismiss the possibility of entering politics in the future. She revealed that if she decides to seek office, she would target higher leadership positions such as President or Senator. According to Lynn, such roles would better align with her long-term vision of driving large-scale change and influencing national development.
Her remarks have elicited mixed reactions online, with some Kenyans encouraging her to reconsider and take up the challenge, while others have supported her decision to remain in her current field.
