Makueni Deputy Governor Urges Residents to Protect Government Projects

Makueni County Deputy Governor, H.E Lucy Mulili, has called on residents to safeguard government-sponsored projects and initiatives across the county.

Speaking at budget public forums held at Kilome Subcounty’s Tangu Catholic Church grounds, Mulili stressed the importance of protecting public infrastructure from vandalism, a persistent challenge in the region. She highlighted the county government’s commitment to implementing projects identified during public participation forums, ensuring they serve the community’s best interests.

Mulili praised the proactive involvement of residents in expressing their development priorities and urged citizens to take ownership of government projects. She emphasized collective responsibility, noting that the success of development initiatives depends on collaboration among all stakeholders.

Residents were also urged to report any instances of vandalism or misuse of government assets to the relevant authorities. The Deputy Governor concluded by calling for unity and cooperation to build a prosperous and sustainable future for Makueni County.
