Revenue Growth: Murang’a County’s own source revenue for the 2023/2024 financial year reached Sh1 billion, up from Sh562 million the previous year.

Health Sector Revenue:
Murang’a General Hospital’s revenue increased from about Sh70,000/day to Sh400,000/day.
Automation allows patients to access records and get SMS notifications of their medical history.
Revenue Allocation: Funds have been used for:
Smart Cities programme – upgrading shopping centres and infrastructure.
Kang’ata Care – health insurance for ~40,000 residents.
Uji Programme – feeding ~42,000 ECDE learners daily.
Future Targets: The county plans to increase revenue to Sh1.5 billion in 2024/2025 without raising taxes.
Controller of Budget Report: Revenue grew by 37% from Sh453.57 million to Sh716.44 million in the first nine months of the financial year.
