New program launched to boost smart farming across Kenya

Kenya has launched a new initiative aimed at accelerating smart farming nationwide, highlighting the country’s commitment to modernizing agriculture through technology. Pilot projects under the program include AI-assisted crop disease detection, predictive analytics for market pricing, and automated solar-powered irrigation systems. These efforts demonstrate how technology can improve decision-making, reduce post-harvest losses, and increase yields for farmers across both rural and urban communities.
