Ruto Begins Development Tour in Kisii and Nyamira

President William Ruto is launching a four-day development tour across Kisii and Nyamira counties this Sunday.
The visit will feature significant infrastructure, education, and sports initiatives, beginning with the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion and enhancement of Kisii Stadium.
He will later attend a football match between Shabana Football Club and a local team, followed by presenting a bus to Shabana FC.
During his visit, the President is scheduled for a series of high-level meetings at Kisii State Lodge with Governors, Members of Parliament, Members of County Assembly, Church leaders, opinion leaders, and boda boda representatives from both counties.
On the development front, key activities include the groundbreaking of the long-awaited Suneka Airstrip in Bonchari Constituency, Kisii County, an inspection of the Kisii Cancer Centre in Nyaribari Chache, and the construction of a tuition block at Nyamira University in North Mugirango.
He will also initiate or evaluate several road projects including Bobaracho–Manyasi–Tinga (Kitutu Chache North), Keumbu–Ibeno (Nyaribari Chache), and Sameta–Egetuki (Bomachoge).
Other roads set for inauguration include Mochengo–Ayora–Maroo, Etago–Ekona–Geteri–Nyamaiya, and Nyamarambe–Esaka–Nyabigena all in South Mugirango, Kisii County.
In addition, the President will lay foundation stones for Ikonge Modern Market in North Mugirango, Mogongo Modern Market in Bomachoge Borabu, Nyamira Kenya Medical Training College, Nyamira Comprehensive School in West Mugirango, Keroka Technical Training Institute in Nyaribari Masaba, and Nyangweta Kenya Medical Training College in South Mugirango.
He will also commission Kegogi Market and examine ongoing developments at Nyakoe Market in Kitutu Chache North, as well as inspect construction at Masi Market in Nyaribari Masaba.
Further, he will launch construction of student hostels at Nyamache Kenya Medical Training College in Bobasi, Kisii University, and Kisii Polytechnic in Nyaribari Chache.
Other projects on the itinerary include the final phase of the Nyamira Water Supply Project in West Mugirango, the Kisii Water Supply Project, and the Ibeno last mile electricity connectivity in Nyaribari Chache.
In South Mugirango, he will also begin construction of Omingo Bridge and set the foundation stone for the Nyachenge Affordable Housing Project.
