President Kicks Off Four-Day Gusii Tour with Bus Handover to Shabana FC

President William Ruto commenced a four-day development tour of Kisii and Nyamira counties on Sunday, marking the occasion by initiating the expansion and renovation of Kisii Stadium.
Following the stadium groundbreaking, the President will attend a football match featuring Shabana Football Club against Gucha Football Club, where he will also present a new bus to Shabana.
During his stay in Kisii, the President has scheduled consultations with local Gusii leadership at the State Lodge.
Additionally, the President will commence the highly anticipated Suneka Airstrip construction in Bonchari Constituency, Kisii County, while also examining the progress at the Kisii Cancer Centre and a tuition block under development at Nyamira University.
Multiple road projects are set for inauguration, including routes from Bobaracho to Manyasi-Tinga in Kitutu Cache North, Keumbu to Ibeno in Nyaribari Chache, and Sameta to Egetuki in Bomachoge.
Further road infrastructure developments to be launched include the Mochengo-Ayora-Maroo corridor, the Etago-Ekona-Geteri-Nyamaiya route, and the Nyamarambe-Esaka-Nyabigena pathway, all situated in South Mugirango, Kisii County.
The President will formally initiate the construction of Ikonge Modern Market in North Mugirango, officially open Kegogi Market, and assess the ongoing development at Nyakoe Market in Kitutu Chache North.
In West Mugirango Constituency, President Ruto will lay the ceremonial stones for both the Nyamira Kenya Medical Training College and the Nyamira Comprehensive School.
The President’s agenda also encompasses the ceremonial stone-laying for Keroka Technical Training Institute in Nyaribari Masaba and Nyangweta Kenya Medical Training College in South Mugirango.
Simultaneously, the President will initiate the construction of student accommodation facilities at Nyamache Kenya Medical Training College in Bobasi and at Kisii University in Nyaribari Chache.
The comprehensive itinerary includes additional projects for the President to launch, inspect, or commission, such as the final phase of the Nyamira Water Supply Project in West Mugirango, the Kisii Water Supply Project, and the Ibeno last-mile electricity connectivity initiative in Nyaribari Chache.
During his South Mugirango engagements, the President will commence the Omingo Bridge construction and ceremonially begin the Nyachenge Affordable Housing Project.
