Organizers are making final arrangements for the ODM rally scheduled for May 31 at Keremba Grounds in Kisumu, assuring supporters of adequate security, proper coordination and peaceful proceedings during the political gathering.

The rally, titled ‘Wabiro Kisumu,’ is anticipated to draw thousands of ODM supporters and leaders from Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya and Kisii counties.

Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, who chairs the organizing committee, stated that comprehensive arrangements have been implemented to ensure the smooth movement of supporters and orderly conduct throughout the event.

Ayacko mentioned that supporters traveling from various regions will gather at designated points before proceeding to Keremba Grounds.

Those coming from across River Nyando and neighboring areas will assemble at Katito, supporters from Kisumu City and surrounding areas will gather at Kondele, while those traveling from Siaya County and western parts of the region will meet at Ojolla before converging at the main venue.

“All roads will lead to Kiremba Grounds, where supporters are expected to arrive by midday for the main event,” Ayacko said.

He assured residents that the rally would be peaceful and well organized, noting that organizers are collaborating closely with security agencies and local leaders to ensure safety and the smooth flow of activities.

“We want this to be a peaceful, productive and celebratory rally that demonstrates the strength and unity of ODM,” he said.

The governor noted that security arrangements have already been discussed with relevant authorities to manage crowds, traffic and the movement of leaders expected to attend the event.

National ODM leaders, Members of Parliament, governors, Members of County Assembly and party officials are expected to attend the rally in large numbers.

Ayacko said the gathering will not only celebrate ODM’s political journey but also reaffirm the party’s unity and readiness ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Organizers have appealed to supporters to maintain peace, follow directions from security officers and refrain from any actions that may disrupt the event.

The rally comes at a time when ODM leaders are intensifying grassroots mobilization across the Nyanza region while calling for unity among party members and continued engagement with like-minded political formations.
