Kenyan citizens wishing to contest their Social Health Authority (SHA) contribution assessments
can now utilize a streamlined mobile procedure to file their appeals.

The Social Health Authority announced on May 26 that individuals with concerns about
their contribution calculations can initiate an appeal process by dialing *147#

choose the “Contributions Appeal” selection, and then adhere to the subsequent
guidelines presented on screen.

to allow members to seek clarification on contribution assessments without requiring
in-person visits to offices.

The authority asserts that this digital approach enhances operational efficiency
and improves nationwide access to healthcare services.

gross salaries under the SHA framework.

Rather, the procedure is designed to handle instances where contributors disagree

This clarification emerges as the government continues working to integrate all
Kenyans into affordable medical insurance programs.

To guarantee universal access to the medical scheme, the government has encouraged
all Kenyans, especially those without employment, to utilize the “Lipa Pole Pole”
payment option for their contributions.
