IEBC Announces Resumption of Continuous Voter Registration from September 29, 2025

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) will resume on Monday, 29th September 2025. Citizens are encouraged to register at any IEBC Constituency office, except in areas currently conducting by-elections. The exercise provides a critical opportunity for eligible Kenyans to participate in the democratic process ahead of future elections.

The commission will offer a range of services during the CVR period, including new voter registration, correction or updating of voter details, transfer of voter registration to a new electoral area, and verification of existing voter information. Citizens can also verify their voter details online at https://verify.iebc.or.ke
, making the process more accessible and convenient.

To be eligible, individuals must be Kenyan citizens aged 18 years and above, possess a valid Kenyan ID or passport, not be previously registered as voters, and must not have been convicted of an election offence in the last five years or declared of unsound mind. The IEBC urges all eligible citizens to take advantage of this registration window to ensure their participation in upcoming electoral processes.
