Nairobi, Kenya – The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has confirmed that at least 3.4 million candidates will participate in national exams and assessments this year.
KCSE: 996,078 candidates
KJSEA: 1,130,669 candidates
KNEC CEO David Njengere highlighted that these figures cover the major end-of-cycle national examinations and assessments for primary, junior, and secondary education. The council continues to ensure proper administration and transparency across the 10,000+ exam centres nationwide.
Public reactions reflected mixed opinions: some questioned the accuracy of the candidate numbers, others raised concerns about delayed payments for exam personnel, while some expressed doubts about KNEC’s role and competence in handling the exams efficiently.
