Kitui town witnessed an exciting display of athletic talent as the Makueni Paravolleyball Team swept past their Kitui counterparts in a friendly match during the #MashujaaDay2025 celebrations. The Makueni team secured a decisive 3–0 victory in sets, earning a cash prize of KES 500,000. The match, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Arts, and Sports, highlighted the growing prominence of para-sports in Kenya and the role of counties in nurturing inclusive talent.
