Kenya Sets Up Taskforce to Modernize National Health Insurance

The Kenyan government has established a high-level taskforce to overhaul the nation’s health insurance system, aiming to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for millions of citizens. Announced by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, the taskforce will investigate operational challenges within the Social Health Authority (SHA) and recommend strategies to improve coverage, streamline claims processing, and prevent fraud.
