On 17 November 2025, a coordinated cyber-attack hit multiple Kenyan government websites — including ministries responsible for Interior, Health, Education, ICT, Tourism, and even the State House portal — rendering many online public services inaccessible. The defacement, attributed to a group self-identifying as PCP@Kenya , saw extremist slogans like White power worldwide and 14:88 displayed on the sites.
In a statement, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo said emergency incident response teams from the national cyber-security apparatus were immediately activated, and most platforms were restored within hours.
The government warned that those responsible will be prosecuted under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act and other applicable laws, while urging public officials and citizens to report suspicious activity.
The incident highlights growing cyber-security risks as Kenya deepens reliance on digital infrastructure.
