MoH and NGO run wellness screening for Treasury staff

by KenyaPolls

The Ministry of Health joined a civil society group to conduct wellness screenings for Treasury employees, testing for hypertension, diabetes and other common conditions. Over 150 staff received personalised counselling and referrals for follow-up care. Officials said the campaign underscores the government’s push to mainstream preventive services within workplaces and to use screenings to detect non‑communicable diseases early. Health experts say workplace wellness programmes can reduce absenteeism and long-term treatment costs if scaled across government departments and parastatals.
