The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has received a KSh 4.75 million sponsorship agreement from Cape Media Limited, the parent company of TV47, Radio47, TV47 Digital and Cape Studios. This financial injection aims to revitalize the National Super League (NSL) and the FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Under this agreement, funds will be directly distributed to clubs for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, providing essential financial backing to teams in the country’s second-tier men’s competition and top-tier women’s league.

The agreement designates KSh 1.8 million for six selected NSL clubs, with each team receiving KSh 300,000.
Among the beneficiaries are Luanda Villa, Vihiga United, Gucha Stars, Darajani Gogo, Kabati Youth, and Mwatate United.
The Women’s Premier League receives the largest portion of the funding, totaling KSh 2.95 million. Each of the 12 participating clubs will receive KSh 100,000 in direct grants to support their operations and development.
Moreover, the sponsorship establishes performance-based incentives, with league champions awarded KSh 1 million, runners-up receiving KSh 500,000, and the third-placed team obtaining KSh 250,000.

According to FKF, this investment extends beyond competitive aspects, highlighting that enhanced funding for grassroots and women’s football is crucial for generating social impact.
The federation stressed that such assistance contributes to creating safer sporting environments, reinforcing club structures, and fostering inclusivity by providing young individuals with opportunities to cultivate discipline, teamwork, and trust.
FKF has commended Cape Media for this timely contribution, viewing the sponsorship as a significant endorsement of Kenyan football’s growth potential.
The federation has also urged additional corporate partners to join in supporting initiatives to establish a sustainable football ecosystem, as the nation continues to advance toward greater development and professionalism in the sport.
