Iran Nairobi Embassy Denounces Israeli Allegations, Justifies Military Actions

Mandere Onyinkwa reports that the Iranian Embassy in Nairobi has dismissed Israeli accusations as “baseless allegations and hostile narratives,” claiming Israel is distributing false information about the ongoing conflict.

Through a formal statement, the embassy refuted assertions that Iran’s recent actions are aggressive, maintaining that they represent legitimate self-defense according to international legal standards.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s actions constitute lawful self-defense in compliance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter,” the declaration stated.

The embassy charged Israel and the United States with executing what it characterized as “premeditated” and “barbaric military aggression” against Iranian sovereignty, dismissing the concept of a “preemptive strike” as legally indefensible.

It additionally contended that the conflict intensified after assaults on Iranian soil, including an incident it described as a civilian casualty attack. “This was not defensive in nature, but a planned offensive operation,” the embassy declared.

Regarding its nuclear program, Iran reaffirmed that its activities continue to be peaceful and transparent. The embassy noted that international inspectors have validated its nuclear initiatives, adding, “No IAEA report has ever suggested diversion toward military applications.”

The embassy also condemned Israel for what it termed as dual standards, pointing out Israel’s failure to ratify crucial international nuclear accords. The declaration further accused Israel of presenting itself as a victim while purportedly engaging in actions contravening international law.

“The aggressor is again assuming the role of victim,” the embassy remarked, alluding to persistent international legal examination of Israeli authorities.

In response to regional tensions, the embassy cautioned neighboring nations against permitting their territories to be utilized for assaults against Iran. It emphasized that any such measures would be regarded as aggressive acts, necessitating a counter-response.

The embassy also connected interruptions in the Strait of Hormuz to what it described as external military aggression, asserting that limitations in this vital maritime passage are a direct outcome of the hostilities.

“When conflict is thrust upon you, do you remain passive, or do you protect your nation?” the statement inquired.

Reiterating its position, Iran emphasized its dedication to peace and urged the global community to intervene. “We appeal to the international community to denounce these aggressive acts and ensure those responsible are held accountable,” the embassy implored.
