Lusaka Rallies Bungoma Residents to Back National Government, Citing Key Development Gains
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on residents to support the national government, emphasizing that strong cooperation between the county and the state is essential for sustained development. Addressing locals at a Ford-Kenya rally in Mukhweya, Chwele–Kabuchai Ward, Lusaka noted that collaborative leadership has already unlocked major projects, including the upcoming Level Six Hospital at Sichei Kabuchai. He described the facility as a transformative investment that will elevate healthcare services for the region and reduce the need for long-distance referrals.
Speaking ahead of the ward’s by-election prompted by the passing of the former MCA, Lusaka urged residents to rally behind the Ford-Kenya candidate. He stressed that aligning local leadership with the county’s development agenda would ensure continuity of projects and smoother implementation of government programs. The governor highlighted the county’s ongoing improvements in infrastructure, health, and agricultural support as evidence of what cohesive political partnerships can achieve.
Lusaka further appealed for peace and unity during the campaign period, warning against politics rooted in division and hostility. He reminded residents that development thrives where communities remain focused on shared progress rather than political rivalry. As Bungoma heads toward the by-election, the governor’s message signals a continued push for stability, collaborative governance, and accelerated growth powered by strengthened ties with the national government.
