Additionally, e-Claims Processing accelerates payment for medical services, enhancing transparency and accountability. Digital hospital management systems are being deployed across facilities, improving patient management, workflow efficiency, and overall service quality. These technological solutions are transforming how healthcare is delivered, ensuring that both providers and patients benefit from faster, more reliable systems.
In Mombasa County, the TaifaCare System has already digitized 91% of health facilities, significantly boosting operational efficiency and healthcare financing. Acting CEO of the Digital Health Agency, Anthony Lenaiyara, confirmed that the SHA system maintains a 99.9% uptime, ensuring stable and continuous service. The Ministry encourages healthcare providers and the public to adopt digital health solutions, highlighting their critical role in strengthening Kenya’s healthcare system.
