Kenya’s National Boccia for the Blind Team Wins Africa Gold

Kenya’s blind boccia team—the *Precision Stars*—won gold in BC1/BC2 mixed at the 2025 Africa Para Boccia Champs in Tunis on May 25, 2025. Using sound-emitting balls and tactile courts, David Omondi and Mary Njoki defeated Egypt 10–4. Boccia isn’t about sight—it’s about space and sound, said Njoki. The Kenya Boccia Federation now has 4 blind clubs. Safaricom pledged KSh 18 million. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Para Champs.
