KPC Volleyball Team Dominates with “Oil Power” Over Burundi

by KenyaPolls

The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) volleyball team showcased exceptional skill on Day Two of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship, decisively defeating Burundi’s Gender Light Club (GLC) in a one-sided Pool B match. From the first serve, the Kenyan champions made their intentions clear, overwhelming the Burundian newcomers with an unrelenting offensive attack. KPC, known as the “Oil Queens,” leveraged their greater height and international expertise to dominate GLC’s net play from the beginning. This convincing 3-0 win comes after KPC’s victory over Ghana’s KSC on the opening day, securing their position at the top of Pool B as the tournament progresses to the knockout stage. Despite moments of determination from GLC, they could not match the comprehensive strength of a KPC squad that includes multiple Kenyan national team players.
