Kisii County won the 2025 National School Sepak Takraw Championship in Kisumu on June 22, 2025—using acrobatic kicks and teamwork in the rattan-ball sport. Their success came from the *Sepak Takraw in Schools* program, reaching 42 schools. Standout: 15-year-old Moraa Nyaboga, who executed a *sunback spike* in the final. Sepak Takraw teaches flight—not just feet, said coach Zipporah Nyaboke. The county built 6 sand courts. East Africa Schools Sepak Takraw Fest planned for 2026.
