Kenya’s First National Sports Mural Festival Held in Kibera

The inaugural Kibera Sports Mural Festival transformed 30 walls in August 2025—artists painted heroes from local courts, tracks, and pitches. Featured: * The Orphan Striker * (Gatundu FC), * The Wheelchair Champion * (Samwel Kimani), * The Midnight Netballer. * Every wall tells a story the stadium forgot, said lead artist Solomon Muyongo. Safaricom sponsored paint; KCAU provided security. A walking tour launched in September. Annual festival confirmed.
