Kenya’s National Rope Skipping Team Wins World Bronze

by KenyaPolls

Kenya’s rope skipping team—the *Rhythm Jumpers*—won bronze in freestyle at the 2025 World Rope Skipping Championships in Tokyo on September 5, 2025. Their 2-minute routine blended Benga music, acrobatics, and triple-unders, scoring 94.1/100. Skipping isn’t child’s play—it’s physics, rhythm, and joy, said captain Wambui Njoroge (18, Kawangware). The Kenya Rope Skipping Federation, recognized in 2024, now has 60 school clubs. Safaricom sponsors Skip & Learn programs in informal settlements. Kenya will host the 2026 Africa Champs in Nairobi.
