Kenya’s First National Sports Philanthropy Fund Launched

NOCK and Equity Group launched the Champions’ Legacy Fund on October 25, 2025—a KSh 500 million endowment where athletes donate 1% of prize money to support grassroots sport. Founding donors include Eliud Kipchoge, Faith Kipyegon, and Peres Jepchirchir. Greatness multiplies when shared, said Kipchoge. Grants fund equipment, coaching, and scholarhips in ASAL counties. The first KSh 25 million disbursed to 10 counties in November. Audits are public. The fund aims for KSh 2 billion by 2030.
