West Pokot County launched the Pokot Peace Wrestling League on November 5, 2025—uniting 14 clans in traditional *Lwanda* wrestling, with matches preceded by elder-led dialogues and followed by shared meals. In 3 months, cattle rustling dropped 68% in participating zones. A wrestling mat is better than a battleground, said Governor Simon Kachapin. The league includes youth apprenticeships in conflict mediation. UNDP funded 10 sand pits and water points. A documentary, *The Grip of Peace*, is in production. Plans for a regional league with Uganda are underway.
