In a landmark move for inclusion, the Ministry of Sports mandated Para-Coach Certification for all national federation staff on November 10, 2025. Developed by the Para-Sport Innovation Lab (News #302), the 40-hour program covers disability etiquette, adaptive equipment, inclusive communication, and sport-specific modifications. You can’t claim to serve all Kenyans if your coaches aren’t trained to see all Kenyans, said CS Susan Wafula. Over 1,200 coaches are enrolled in Phase 1. Non-compliant federations risk funding suspension. CAF has adopted Kenya’s curriculum for its *Inclusive Leadership Diploma*.
