Kenya Hosts Inaugural Pan-African Sports Innovation Summit in Nairobi

Kenya hosted the first Pan-African Sports Innovation Summit at KICC on November 20, 2025—bringing 300 delegates from 42 countries to showcase tech, inclusion, and sustainability in sport. Key launches: Kenya’s *ScoutAI*, Rwanda’s drone medevac for athletes, and South Africa’s VR anti-doping training. Africa isn’t catching up—we’re leapfrogging, said CS Wafula. The summit adopted the *Nairobi Declaration*—a 10-point plan for ethical, inclusive sport. AU Sports Council endorsed it as a continental roadmap. The summit will be biennial, hosted regionally.
