Kenya has expanded its national immunisation schedule following the arrival of new vaccine consignments aimed at increasing protection against preventable childhood diseases. The Ministry of Health said the additional doses will help reduce gaps caused by past supply disruptions and population growth. County health teams have been directed to intensify outreach clinics, especially in arid regions where routine immunisation coverage remains low. Officials said the improved supply will aid national targets to curb infant morbidity and enhance early childhood survival rates.
