The national government has dispatched a new fleet of ambulances to northern counties to improve emergency medical response. The region has long struggled with long referral distances and limited trauma‑care capacity. Health officials said the deployment will support maternal emergencies, accident response and inter‑facility transfers. County governments have been urged to maintain the vehicles and ensure staffing of trained paramedics.
