“My purpose as a footballer has been achieved. I fulfilled my childhood dream of competing on the grandest stages and securing the most prestigious honors. I thank God for the entire experience,” he expressed.
Origi’s legacy is deeply tied to his Liverpool tenure, where he achieved legendary status. His two-goal performance in the remarkable 4-0 comeback against Barcelona during the 2019 Champions League semi-finals, along with his strike in the final against Tottenham, secured his place in Liverpool’s history.
His six derby goals against Everton further cemented his reputation as a performer in crucial matches.
Recalling those significant achievements, he wrote to supporters: “Every memorable moment, every goal, every historical achievement we created together will remain forever ours.”
