Jackson Kiprono emerged victorious at the Eldoret NCBA Golf Series leg yesterday after registering an impressive 40 points in a fiercely competitive field featuring golfers from across the North Rift region.
The tournament drew over 100 participants of varying skill levels for a day of intense competition as players continued vying for qualification to the series Grand Finale, scheduled for November at Karen Country Club.
Kiprono’s outstanding performance secured him the Overall Winner title and a direct pass to the Grand Finale.
In the men’s division, Kevin Limo also accumulated 40 points to be named Overall Men Winner following a strong round, while Chemutai Faith recorded 38 points to clinch the Overall Lady Winner title. Both golfers earned qualification spots for the season-ending finale.
Moses Tanui claimed the Guest Winner prize with 32 points, and Nick Murrey posted 38 points to finish as Men Runner-Up. In the ladies’ category, Miriam Wanjiku carded 34 points to secure the Lady Runner-Up position.
The junior category also showcased remarkable talent, with Thomas Nderitu returning 34 points to emerge Junior Winner, highlighting the expanding pool of young golfing talent within the series.
Kimaiyo Kiprop commented after the event, stating that the bank remains dedicated to supporting golf development while enhancing engagement with communities nationwide.

He noted that the growing participation of experienced golfers, emerging players, and juniors continues to elevate the level of competition as the series approaches its Grand Finale.
Kiprop also expressed appreciation to JCB Ganatra for supporting the event and adding excitement through the Hole-in-One prize showcase during the tournament.
The Eldoret leg further solidified the building momentum of the NCBA Golf Series, which continues to traverse the nation bringing together golfers, strengthening club communities, and nurturing talent at different levels of the sport.
