The Kenya Trade Remedies Agency’s SME Digital Export Platform has onboarded 10,000 micro-enterprises onto global e-commerce sites like Amazon, Etsy, and Jumia Global. Launched in late 2023, the program offers training, certification, and logistics support for artisans, fashion designers, and agri-processors. Participants reported a 40% average revenue increase in Q1 2024. Top exports include beaded jewelry, shea butter, and specialty coffee. The 2024/25 budget allocates Ksh4 billion to expand the initiative to 50,000 SMEs. The program is a key pillar of Kenya’s export diversification strategy under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
