Kenya’s national rugby sevens team, Shujaa, concluded their campaign at the Singapore Sevens, a leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series, on a positive note by winning the Plate final. After missing out on the main Cup competition, the team regrouped to show their class in the secondary competition. They displayed a much-improved performance, defeating Germany in a thrilling Plate final to finish 9th overall in the tournament. Tries from key players and a solid defensive effort were the hallmarks of their victory. While the overall result was not what they had hoped for, winning the Plate provided a morale boost and some valuable ranking points as they continued to build momentum for the rest of the series.
