Samsung Partners with Athletics Kenya on Smart Training Facilities

Tech giant Samsung East Africa has announced a partnership with Athletics Kenya (AK) to equip three high-altitude training camps in Iten, Kapsabet, and Nyahururu with smart technology. The initiative will install large-format interactive screens for video analysis, provide tablets for coaches to access real-time biometric data from wearables, and set up solar-powered digital libraries. This is about enhancing the coach’s toolkit with technology. We’re building smarter training environments for our athletes, said AK President Jack Tuwei. The partnership is valued at KSh 85 million and includes a digital skills training program for coaches.
